What can I do with a caricature?
Beside making perfect framable gifts they can be printed on t-shirts, mouse pads, mugs, pillow cases, business cards, wedding invitations etc. They can be airbrushed on a bath tub or tattooed on a body. One client asked me to carve the caricature in a piece of wood. One made a stamp out of it. There are no limits.

Can I buy your products on-line?
Yes. You can order our services on-line by clicking the gallery tab on the menu. If you change your mind after making a purchase and BEFORE we start the artwork, your money will be refunded.

Do you have gift certificates?
Yes. You can buy them at the gallery page. We supply them in hard copy or electronic (pdf) formats.

How many caricatures can you draw in an hour?
12 to 18 (black & white)

I want to get a caricature done from a photo. Can you do that?
Yes. Here is the procedure:

1. You start by making the payment via the gallery page. We realize some people are not comfortable with paying upon just visiting the web site. If you have any doubts you can always call us at (613) 230 5985 or (800) 788 6781 so you can be sure we are a legitimate company.
2. You supply us with photos of the subject. The more photos the better. High contrast photos, prefferably studio shots make our life a lot easier. If you have them in an electronic format (gif, jpg, zip, psd or tiff). You can use our image upload tool found on http://www.officialfish.com/upload.html
3. You then give us a description of the subject(s) characteristics or lifestyle as well as other elements you want us to be incorporate in the artwork using the form on description tool found on http://www.officialfish.com/specs.html You also send us a username and password which will unlock your account in client login tool for you to view the work in progress.
4. Within a few days from the time that we receive the photos we do a pencil sketch and put it on this web site. You will receive an email to notify you of the image being online. You then log in, view the sketch and email your feedback to look@officialfish.com.
5. Based on your comments the image will be redrawn and uploaded to the site. We will repeate this until you are happy with the result.
6. The final drawing will be done in ink and/or colors. We will ship you the original. We can create a cleaned up, high resolution (300 dpi) electronic file from it for an additional cost of $25 US. This file can be sent to a printer for a high quality output or be used in a professional print piece.

What are the common sizes for caricatures?
The most common sizes are according the standard frame sizes. These are (in inches):
8 x 10
9 x 12
12 x 16

Do you travel?
Yes. We offer our services in Ontario, western Québec, and Northern New York.
Illustration projects can come from anywhere in the world.

Who owns the rights to the final artwork?
Once you pay for it, you do unless otherwise specified. When you buy a reproduction of a piece, we will remain the owner of the artwork and will have the legal rights to reproduce it.
